What Fontastic Is

Fontastic is a completely free, fast, and highly customizable browser-based text logo generator. It allows anyone from casual users to professional designers to preview dozens of premium typography styles simultaneously, edit them with powerful layout and color controls, and export them as high-quality transparent PNGs in seconds.

Our Mission

Our mission is to democratize high-quality typography. We want to remove the friction of downloading heavy software, managing local font files, or paying for complex design subscriptions just to generate a nice-looking logotype or video thumbnail text.

Why We Built Fontastic

We realized there wasn't a truly modern, minimal tool for instantly visualizing text effects across a curated set of the best open-source fonts. Too many existing generators are cluttered with ads, have outdated designs, or lack precise control. We built Fontastic to be the tool we wanted to use ourselves: clean, fast, and professional.

How the Text Generator Works

Fontastic runs entirely in your browser using HTML5 Canvas technology. When you change a slider for neon glows, drop shadows, or text gradients, the browser renders the mathematical changes instantly. No servers are involved in generating your images, meaning your work is completely private and lightning-fast.

Open Fonts and Licensing

We proudly curate our typography exclusively from Google Fonts. All typefaces available on Fontastic are open-source and typically available under the SIL Open Font License (OFL) or Apache licenses, meaning you can confidently use your generated text for commercial projects.
